Acceptable Use Guidelines

These Acceptable Use Guidelines ("Guidelines") apply to Magoven One and Magoven suite products — magMeet, magWork, magMail, MagDocs, MagDrive, magCalendar, NetSpeed, and related APIs — operated by Magoven (Pty) Ltd. They supplement our Terms of Service. Organisation administrators must ensure their users comply.

1. Lawful use only

You may not use the Services to violate South African or other applicable law, including POPIA, RICA (where relevant), intellectual property law, cybercrime offences, employment or consumer legislation, export controls, or court orders.

2. Prohibited activities

Without limitation, you may not:

• Distribute malware, ransomware, phishing, or social-engineering content
• Send bulk unsolicited commercial email (spam) or operate open relays through Magoven infrastructure
• Host or share child sexual abuse material, or content that unlawfully promotes violence or terrorism
• Harass, stalk, threaten, or defame others using Magoven communications tools
• Infringe copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, or privacy rights of third parties
• Attempt unauthorised access to Magoven systems, accounts, or Customer Content belonging to others
• Probe, scan, pen-test, or load-test Magoven infrastructure without prior written authorisation
• Circumvent package limits, authentication, SSO, domain verification, or guest access controls
• Share login credentials or MFA devices outside authorised personnel
• Use botnets, scrapers, or automated tooling that degrade service quality for other customers
• Resell or white-label Magoven Services except under a written partner agreement
• Misrepresent affiliation with Magoven, government bodies, or other organisations

3. Product-specific expectations

• magMeet: Do not record meetings without consent where required by law or organisation policy; respect guest and waiting-room controls.
• magMail: Configure outbound sending responsibly; maintain accurate DNS (SPF/DKIM/DMARC) where you control the domain; do not use Magoven for phishing campaigns.
• MagDocs / MagDrive: Do not share regulated or confidential data externally contrary to your organisation's policies or POPIA obligations.
• magWork / magCalendar: Avoid storing unlawful or abusive content in workspaces, tasks, or calendars shared with others.
• NetSpeed: Use diagnostics and related tooling for legitimate network measurement; do not abuse endpoints to attack third parties.
• Magoven One: Administrators must keep roles least-privilege, review guests, and revoke access promptly when employment or contracts end.

4. Fair use and resources

Magoven may apply fair-use or technical limits to protect platform stability (API rate limits, attachment sizes, concurrent meeting capacity, storage quotas). Sustained abuse that harms other tenants may result in throttling or suspension after notice where practicable.

5. Investigations and enforcement

Magoven may investigate suspected violations, remove or disable content, suspend users or organisations, and report matters to law enforcement where legally required. We will attempt to work with organisation administrators on remediations for non-critical issues.

6. Reporting abuse

Report security vulnerabilities, spam, harassment, or other abuse to [email protected] with relevant URLs, message IDs, meeting IDs, or timestamps. Do not include credentials in tickets.

7. Changes

We may update these Guidelines as products evolve. Continued use after posting constitutes acceptance under our Terms of Service.
